‍The extension and redesignation of TPS for Yemen will be valid for 18 months, starting on September 4th, 2024, and ending on March 3rd, 2026. Here’s what you need to know if you currently have TPS or if you’re looking to apply:For Current TPS Holders:

• You can apply for an extension of your TPS status.
• The re-registration period runs from July 10th, 2024, to September 9th, 2024.
• Your employment authorization document (EAD) will be automatically extended until September 3rd, 2025. Note that this extension applies only to the employment authorization, not the TPS status itself.

For New Applicants:

• If you do not currently have TPS and wish to apply, the initial application period runs from July 10th, 2024, until the end of the TPS program on March 3rd, 2026.

Requirements for TPS Application

‍There are specific requirements for continuous residence and physical presence that must be met:

• Continuous Residence: You must have been continuously residing in the US since July 2nd, 2024.
• Continuous Physical Presence: You must have been continuously physically present in the US since September 4th, 2024.
